Questions Are Where Faith Begins
Have you ever had a question about the Bible but didn’t know who to ask?
Maybe you’ve wondered:
Why does God allow suffering?
Was Jesus really a real person?
Why do Christians pray?
Can I lose my salvation?
Why did God create Satan?
What happens when we die?
Why are there so many different denominations?
Does the Bible really say that?
These are not foolish questions.
They are important questions.
In fact, asking questions can be one of the best ways to grow in our understanding of God.
At Hidden Treasure Books, we believe that God’s Word contains treasures waiting to be discovered. Sometimes finding those treasures begins with something very simple:
A question.
That is why we created Bible Answers.
What Is Bible Answers?
Bible Answers is a place where we explore questions about God, Jesus Christ, the Bible, faith, sin, salvation, prayer, and Christian living.
Our goal is simple:
Ask the question. Open the Bible. Search for the answer.
We don’t want to tell you what you should believe simply because someone says it is true.
We want to encourage you to examine what Scripture says.
The Bible itself encourages us to seek wisdom and understanding.
Proverbs 2:6 tells us:
“For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.”
That means we should never be afraid to learn.
We should never be afraid to ask.
And we should never be afraid to open God’s Word and search for answers.
What Makes Bible Answers Different?
There are plenty of places on the internet where people can find opinions about Christianity.
You can find thousands of articles, videos, podcasts, social media posts, and debates about the Bible.
But sometimes the hardest thing to find is a simple answer to a simple question:
“What does the Bible actually say?”
That’s where Bible Answers comes in.
Rather than beginning with someone’s opinion and then searching for a verse to support it, we want to begin with Scripture.
The question comes first.
Then we search God’s Word.
Then we examine the passages.
And finally, we consider what those passages teach.
That doesn’t mean every biblical question will have a simple answer.
Some questions require careful study.
Some passages require understanding their context.
Some subjects contain difficult truths that we may not particularly like.
And sometimes the Bible doesn’t give us the answer we were hoping to find.
But even then, Scripture remains our foundation.
You Can Ask the Difficult Questions
Christianity should not be afraid of questions.
If you have ever wondered whether it is okay to question something you have been taught, consider the example of the people of Berea.
Acts 17:11 tells us that they:
“examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.”
Think about that for a moment.
Paul was one of the great teachers of the early Christian church.
Yet the Bereans did not simply accept everything they heard.
They examined the Scriptures.
They searched.
They investigated.
They compared what they were being taught with God’s Word.
That is the attitude we want to encourage through Bible Answers.
Don’t simply take our word for it.
Open your Bible.
Read the passage.
Consider the context.
Ask questions.
Search for understanding.
Questions About God
Some of the most important questions we can ask concern God Himself.
Who is God?
What is God like?
Does God really love us?
Why did God create humanity?
Why does God allow suffering?
Can God forgive every sin?
Does God hear our prayers?
These are questions that people have asked for generations.
And they are questions worth exploring.
Rather than avoiding difficult subjects, Bible Answers will tackle them honestly and examine what Scripture teaches.
Questions About Jesus
Jesus is at the center of Christianity.
But many people still have questions about Him.
Was Jesus really a historical person?
Why did Jesus have to die?
Why is the resurrection so important?
Did Jesus claim to be God?
What did Jesus mean when He said, “I am the way and the truth and the life”?
What does it mean to follow Jesus?
These aren’t merely historical questions.
They are personal questions.
What we believe about Jesus affects how we understand Christianity itself.
That’s why Bible Answers will devote considerable attention to the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Questions About the Bible
The Bible itself raises many questions.
Why are there so many books in the Bible?
Who wrote them?
Why are there Old and New Testaments?
Why do some Bible translations use different words?
How should we understand difficult passages?
Why do Christians sometimes disagree about what Scripture means?
These questions deserve thoughtful answers.
And sometimes the answer requires us to slow down and actually read the surrounding passages rather than relying on a single verse.
Questions About Christian Living
The Bible isn’t simply a book about what happened thousands of years ago.
It speaks to how we live today.
How should Christians forgive?
How should we deal with anger?
How should we respond when someone hurts us?
How should Christians handle temptation?
What does the Bible say about money?
How should we treat our enemies?
What does God expect from us?
What does it mean to love our neighbor?
These questions bring Scripture directly into everyday life.
What If I Don’t Believe?
Bible Answers isn’t only for people who already consider themselves Christians.
If you’re skeptical about Christianity, you are welcome here.
If you’ve never read the Bible, you’re welcome here.
If you grew up in church but walked away, you’re welcome here.
If you have questions about Christianity that you’ve been afraid to ask, you’re welcome here.
You don’t have to pretend you have all the answers.
You don’t have to agree with everything you read.
You simply have to be willing to ask the question and explore what the Bible says.
Jesus Himself invited people to seek.
Matthew 7:7 says:
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
Perhaps your question is the beginning of your search.

The name Hidden Treasure Books is intentional.
